GitHub

Connect your GitHub repositories to give Herald’s SRE agent direct access to your code. The agent clones the repositories at setup and keeps them up to date during investigations, enabling it to read code, trace history, and correlate recent changes with incidents.

GitHub is configured once from the unified Add Integration list. The same setup connects repository access for investigations and ingests issue and pull request context for your agent.

The agent can:

• Report current branch and repository status
• Switch branches and pull latest changes
• Check out specific commits for point-in-time code inspection

Parameter	Description
Data source name	A label for this GitHub connection in Herald.
Repository URLs	One or more GitHub repository URLs from the same organization (e.g., https://github.com/owner/repo).

After submitting the form, authorize the Herald GitHub App for the repositories you selected. A personal access token is not required for the unified GitHub setup.

Repository scope

Enter repository URLs, not organization URLs. If you need to connect repositories across multiple GitHub organizations, create one GitHub integration per organization.
